Sea Salt Hand Scrub
Since sea salt is somewhat harsh, it shouldn’t be used on the face, but rather on areas such as hands or feet. To tone down its harshness, you may add a few essential oil, but make sure it’s coconut oil, olive oil or coconut oil. Put all the ingredients in a bowl, mix them together, then apply it on your hands. Wait for a few minutes after applying it, then rinse it off with water.
Natural Foot Scrub
There are plenty of natural remedies on how to get rid of dead skin cells from the body, but the following one is one of the simplest and most effective.
To prepare it, you need to mix 2 tbsp. of olive oil, 2 tbsp. of brown sugar and the juice of half of lemon. Mix these ingredients onto your feet, wait for 15 minutes and then rinse it off. This all-natural foot scrub works to both exfoliate and moisturize your feet, eliminating dryness. To keep your feet looking good, apply this method once a week.
Lentil or Daal Body Scrub
Lentil is a very popular ingredient in Indian cuisine, but it can also be used to prepare homemade scrubs. Masoor ki daal, which is the name for red lentil, makes a tremendous choice for a scrub. To make it, you need to take 2 tbsp. of lentil, grind it properly until it becomes a fine powder, then mix it with milk or honey. Apply this scrub before taking a shower, wait for 15 minutes, then wash it off with water.
You can also use moong ki daal, but this should be placed under the sun for a whole day before being able to turn it into a paste. After this, add the rice (one quarter of the daal) and start grinding. Add the haldi, then a hefty amount of milk and stir until you make a good thick paste. Once you’re ready, apply this to your body and face to obtain blemish-free, radiant and glowing skin.
Lemon Bleach for Brightening Neck Skin
Here’s another advice that might come in handy when trying to remove dead skin cells from body, and this one is proven to be effective, so you should try it and experience the results for yourself. Lemon is packed with citric acid, which has bleaching properties, so it can remove dead skin cells from the neck and make it look more toned.
To prepare it, mix 1 tbsp. of lemon juice with 1 tbsp. of rose water. Mix the two together well, then gently apply the result on your neck every night before heading off to bed. Leave it on your skin for 20-30 minutes, then rinse it off with warm water. This can also be stored in the fridge for further uses.
Another method of removing dead skin cells from the neck and whiten skin cells on the neck is to prepare lemon juice and turmeric powder. Mix the powder and juice together, then use a cotton ball to apply the mixture onto your neck. Leave it there for 15-20 minutes, then rinse it off with lukewarm water.
Oat Scrub for Dark Neck
Neck skin is oftentimes neglected, as most people are focused on taking care of their faces, legs and hands. But the good news is that oats are an easy way to brighten up neck skin.
Oats are beneficial for overall health, as it can lower cholesterol, but it also has beauty properties. When trying to remove dead skincells from the neck, oats are great and can lighten up your dark neck skin. Just make sure to use milk, yogurt or honey instead of using a tomato.
Rub Your Underarms with Potatoes
Yes, you read it right. Potatoes are able to remove dead skincells from underarms and make them lighter. Cut a few thin slices of potato, then rub it for about 5-10 minutes. After it works and you’re done with it, you can rinse it off with water. As a matter of fact, this is also a good tip that applies for face skin, not only for the body.
Exfoliate Your Legs
First and foremost, wash your legs and use some sugar in order to naturally remove dead skin cells. After you’re done, apply essential oils, as these make up natural materials to remove dead skin cells, especially the ones on your legs. Take half a cup of olive oil, baby oil, canola oil, coconut oil or any other essential oil, and add 3 tbsps. of lemon juice. Stir these ingredients well and apply the mixture to your legs.
